What is a venture company?

A venture company is a company that meets the requirements of the Special Act on the Promotion of Venture Businesses and has been confirmed as a venture company in recognition of its technological innovation and business growth potential.
Confirmation types are divided into the venture investment type, the R&D type and the innovation-growth type; in the 2021 reform, the former guarantee/loan type was abolished and replaced by the innovation-growth type. In practice, a venture company confirmation certificate is used to check whether a company is a venture company and how long the status is valid.
