Vision & Mission
Vision & Mission
Where BNB Asset Management is headed, the mission we carry out every day, the philosophy and values that guide our judgement, and the strategic directions through which we put them into practice.
Vision
The trusted IPO-specialist partner, bridging the time before and after listing
Founded in 2004 as an IPO and pre-IPO investment firm, BNB has stayed focused on one field: the listing. With a deep understanding of the time before and after an IPO, we aim to connect growing companies with capital and to be an asset manager clients can trust with their assets for the long term.
- Expertise Depth in one field An asset manager that understands the whole listing journey in depth
- Bridge Growth meets capital A bridge between growing companies and the capital market
- Trust A long-term partner A partner clients can rely on with their assets for years to come
Better Investment & Better Life
Mission
The three words in our name — Bridge, Nurture and Bloom — describe the work we do every day.
To connect companies with the capital market, nurture clients’ assets with principle, and bring them to bloom as a better life.
- WhatWhat we do
- With IPOs at the centre, we invest across the whole listing journey — pre-IPO, post-IPO, listed-company mezzanine and SPACs — seeing it as one continuous flow.
- For WhomFor whom
- We manage assets for qualified investors in our general private funds and for institutional investors who entrust us with discretionary mandates and advisory work. Along the way, we widen the path by which growing companies meet the capital market.
- HowHow we work
- We reach decisions through independent company analysis, a defined investment process and cross-checks between investment and compliance — and we explain the reasoning and the risks in terms our clients can follow.
Management Philosophy
Trust comes from principle; principle is kept through process
Our management philosophy sets out why BNB exists and how it works. It consists of four commitments: to our clients, to the market, to our people and to society.
- 01 To our clients
Clients’ interests first
Fiduciary Duty
We put our clients’ interests ahead of the firm’s. The fiduciary’s duty — to treat entrusted assets with even greater care than one’s own — is the starting point of every decision.
- 02 To the market
A sound capital market
Market Integrity
We contribute to a sound capital market in which growing companies are fairly valued and meet the capital they need. As a participant in the Stewardship Code, we fulfil our role as a responsible investor.
- 03 With our people
Expertise and honesty
Professionalism
We grow together as specialists who know one field in depth. Honesty and compliance are the basis of how we work, and we keep a record of the reasoning behind our decisions.
- 04 With society
Investor protection before growth
Compliance
We believe that observing the law and our principles is the foundation a financial firm stands on. We make no investment that has not passed internal control review, and we put investor protection ahead of growth.
Core Values
Every decision at BNB starts from four values
Our core values are the standards each of us upholds in everyday decisions.
-
Client Focus
Client-Centered
We ask about the client’s objectives first
Management begins with each client’s objectives and tolerance for risk. We adhere to the mandate set for every fund and contract, and explain the rationale and risks of our decisions in terms clients can readily follow.
-
Integrity
Transparency & Trust
We record our reasoning and disclose faithfully
We base decisions on independent research and objective indicators, and keep a record of how each was reached. We meet every statutory disclosure obligation and carry out our fiduciary duties under the Stewardship Code.
-
Risk Discipline
Rigorous Risk Management
We ask about risk before return
Before asking what an investment might return, we ask how much risk it carries. Investment and compliance cross-check trading before and after execution, and our compliance officer, who also serves as chief risk officer, oversees risk independently of the investment team.
-
Long-term Value
Long-term Value Focus
We build decisions that hold up over time
We select investments on intrinsic value and growth potential rather than short-term price moves. By building decisions that still hold up over time, rather than chasing temporary gains, we pursue the long-term growth of client assets.
Strategic Direction
Not numerical targets, but directions we commit to keep
BNB puts its energy into deepening one field rather than short-term expansion. The four directions below are where we will keep building our capabilities over the medium to long term.
-
IPO Expertise
Deepening expertise across the IPO journey
With IPO investing as our base, we deepen our ability to handle the whole listing journey — pre-IPO, post-IPO, listed-company mezzanine and SPACs — as one continuous flow, and keep refining how we combine strategies to suit each fund and mandate.
-
Risk & Compliance
Advancing risk management and compliance
We give risk management the same weight as investment management. We keep advancing the cross-checks between investment and compliance and a risk framework independent of the investment team, and continue to strengthen internal control and investor protection.
-
Research & Data
Strengthening research and data capabilities
So that we never meet a company for the first time at its offering, we research potential investee companies broadly, from the pre-IPO stage through to after listing. We build up company analysis and market and disclosure data systematically to widen the basis of our judgement.
-
Clients & People
Client-centred service and developing people
We build trust through explanations clients can follow and faithful disclosure. We develop specialists who know one field in depth, building an organisation in which our principles carry on even as people change.
ESG
Fiduciary responsibility, carried out sustainably
ESG at BNB is not a new slogan. It is our existing principles — fiduciary duty and long-term value — expressed in the language of environment, society and governance. We start from governance, which we already practise, and widen our efforts to social and environmental matters.

Governance
Managing within structures that can be verified
Philosophy · Fiduciary Duty
- Our compliance officer, who also serves as chief risk officer, oversees internal control and risk management independently of the investment team.
- Investment and compliance cross-check trading before and after execution, and we make no investment that has not passed internal control review.
- The board of directors and the auditor oversee management, and the company’s accounts are audited by an external auditor.
- Fund assets are held by trustee companies and net asset values are calculated by a fund administrator, keeping management separate from custody and valuation.
- Quarterly business reports and ad-hoc disclosures are published on our website for anyone to check.
- In practice
Social
Protecting investors, widening the path to growth
Bridge · Connecting companies and capital
- We first confirm each client’s objectives and risk tolerance, and explain the reasoning and risks of our decisions in terms they can follow.
- Through investor protection procedures and fraud and impersonation alerts, we help investors check the information they need with confidence.
- Through IPO investing, we help growing companies be fairly valued in the capital market and meet the capital they need.
- We help our people grow as specialists in one field, with honesty and compliance as the basis of how we work.
- Our direction
Environmental
Starting with what we can do, and widening it responsibly
Long-term Value
- We will progressively build ways to consider ESG factors, including environmental ones, as risks that can affect a company’s long-term value when reviewing investments.
- We will reduce paper use by publishing disclosures and reports electronically and managing working documents digitally.
- We will not claim environmental results or external ratings that cannot be verified, and will report only what we have actually done.
Responsible Investment
Responsible investment that begins with the Stewardship Code
BNB participates in the Korea Stewardship Code and publishes how it implements each principle. As fiduciaries of our clients’ assets, we pursue the medium- to long-term value and sustainable growth of the companies we invest in — the starting point of responsible investment at BNB.
Management System
BNB’s management system at a glance
Our vision is the roof and our mission supports it; four strategic directions form the pillars, standing on a foundation of core values and management philosophy — all rooted in the ground of ESG management.
