Asset Allocation & Risk
How are risk grades assigned to private funds?
De Nederlandse versie van deze pagina is in voorbereiding. Tot die tijd staat de tekst in het Engels.
If a private fund can be assessed using objective data, its market risk is calculated in the same way as for public funds.
If it is difficult to assess on the same basis, the distributor may set the grade using separate criteria that take into account factors such as the product structure, and in this case, grade 2 (high risk) or a riskier grade is in principle assigned. When investing in a private fund, be sure to check not only the grade but also any redemption restrictions and the characteristics of the investment targets.
