IPOs & IPO Shares
I was urged to buy unlisted shares because the company is 'about to list'. Is this safe?

The Financial Supervisory Service warns that if someone urges you to buy unlisted shares with promises of high returns, using 'imminent listing' or 'planned listing' as bait, you should suspect fraud first.
Regulated financial companies generally do not solicit investment in places such as one-on-one chat rooms, and company information you come across online can be fabricated. Offers to sign a buy-back agreement in case the listing fails are also an investment fraud technique, so if you have doubts, report it to the Financial Supervisory Service (1332) or the police (112).
