What is after-hours trading?

The after-hours market operates outside regular market hours; according to the Financial Supervisory Service glossary, it runs from 08:00 to 09:00 before the market opens and from 15:40 to 18:00 after it closes.

During these hours, trading takes place in ways that differ from the regular market, such as after-hours block trading, in which trades are concluded on the stock, quantity and price agreed in advance between the seller and the buyer. Hours and methods may change under exchange rules.
