IPOs & IPO Shares
What happens to the subscription deposit after allocation?
Den svenska versionen av den här sidan förbereds. Tills vidare visas innehållet på engelska.
Subscription deposits received by an underwriter are deposited separately with a securities finance company or a bank and cannot be used as collateral.
On the payment date, the deposit is applied to the payment for the shares, and any deposit exceeding the amount allocated must be returned to the subscriber without delay. When competition is high, most of the deposit paid is refunded and only a few shares are allocated.
