Investing in Stocks
Is there a way to invest in many stocks with a small amount of money?

Buying many stocks directly requires a lot of money, but ETFs managed to track a stock index or similar benchmark let you achieve the effect of diversifying across many stocks even with a small amount.
ETFs are listed on the exchange and can be bought and sold like stocks, and you can check which stocks they hold every day through their portfolio deposit file (PDF) disclosure. However, even if you spread your investment across many stocks, you can lose money if the market as a whole falls.
