Taxes & Tax Rules
What taxes apply to money earned from funds?
Den svenska versionen av den här sidan förbereds. Tills vidare visas innehållet på engelska.
Under the Income Tax Act, income received from a collective investment vehicle (fund) is in principle classified as dividend income.
Individual investors generally receive the income after tax has been withheld at the time of payment, and if the total combined with other interest and dividend income exceeds KRW 20 million a year, it may become subject to comprehensive taxation. Whether tax applies and how much depends on the product structure and your personal circumstances, so check the National Tax Service's guidance or consult a tax professional.
