CEO Message

CEO mesajı

A message from our CEO to clients and the market, the management philosophy behind it, and the executives who lead BNB Asset Management.

Thank you for visiting BNB Asset Management. I am Kim Kwanghyun, CEO. To our client companies and to everyone in the market who has taken an interest in us, I extend my sincere gratitude.

BNB began in 2004 as a specialist in IPO and pre-IPO investing. As we added investment advisory, discretionary management and general private funds, we kept IPO investing as our foundation and extended it into pre-IPO — but we never left our place: the time just before and after a company goes public. Rather than doing many things, we have chosen to know one field deeply. That is the single path we have walked.

The IPO market offers opportunity, and just as much volatility. So rather than chasing short-term trends, we put rigorous company analysis and risk management first. Being entrusted with assets means being entrusted with the time and expectations they carry. We will keep to the process rather than promise results, and manage within a structure anyone can verify.

Our name holds three commitments: to bridge growing companies and capital (Bridge); to nurture our clients’ assets with principle and patience (Nurture); and to work so that the value we nurture can bloom into a better life for our clients (Bloom). Our long-standing slogan, “Better Investment & Better Life”, carries the same meaning.

These commitments can only be kept on a foundation of compliance and investor protection. Under the principle that we make no investment that has not passed internal control, we will give risk management the same weight as investment management and faithfully meet every disclosure obligation.

We will keep deepening our single path so that our clients can trust us as a partner for the long term. Thank you.

CEO, BNB Asset Management

Kim Kwanghyun

Vision

An asset manager that understands the time before and after listing in depth — one clients trust with their assets for the long term.

Better Investment & Better Life

Management Philosophy

We promise the process, not the result

Our CEO’s management philosophy follows the three words in the name BNB — and the one foundation that supports them all.

  1. 01Bridge · To connect

    Connecting companies and capital

We see the time before and after listing as one flow. With IPO investing as our base and reaching into pre-IPO, we build bridges between growing companies and the capital market.

  2. 02Nurture · To grow with care

    Growing assets by principle

Process comes before judgement. We manage our clients’ assets with rigorous company analysis, risk management and the patience to let time do its work.

  3. 03Bloom · To bring to fruition

Bringing value to bloom in life

We hope the value we nurture leads to a better tomorrow for our clients. We look to trust that lasts, rather than to short-term results.

Foundation

Compliance and investor protection underpin every commitment

We make no investment that has not passed internal control. Fund assets are held by trustee banks, net asset values are calculated by an independent fund administrator, and the Company is externally audited. A risk management committee chaired by the CEO, together with the Compliance Officer, reviews our investment activity.

Leadership

The people who lead BNB

Introducing the two full-time executives registered on our Board of Directors.

CEO

Kim Kwanghyun

김광현 · 金光鉉

Represents the Company and leads its overall management. He acquired BNB Investment Advisory (now BNB Asset Management) in 2017 and became CEO, and with the registration of the general private fund business in 2019 has led the firm as an IPO-focused asset manager. Even when the firm was not legally required to have one, he voluntarily appointed an outside director to build checks and balances into the Board.

“We will keep IPO investing as our base strategy, add pre-IPO strategies and broaden our fund line-up.”
