Fund Basics

Why look at a fund's benchmark?

A benchmark is the reference used for comparison when evaluating a fund's performance objectively.

Typically, equity funds use the KOSPI or KOSPI 200, MMFs use the call rate or CD rate, and bond funds use Korea Treasury Bond or Monetary Stabilization Bond yields as their benchmarks. The benchmark is stated in the prospectus and the asset management report.
