What requirements must a corporation meet to be designated a professional investor?

A corporation or organization with a financial investment product balance of KRW 10 billion or more (KRW 5 billion for stock companies subject to external audit) may apply to the Korea Financial Investment Association for professional investor designation.

Applications can be made online only, with documents such as an application form, a certificate of all registered matters and a certificate of the financial investment product balance. The designation is valid for 2 years and must be applied for again when it expires.
