According to the National Tax Service, gains and losses arising from a collective investment vehicle's trading or valuation of securities listed on the securities market, or of exchange-traded derivatives based on them, are not included in taxable income.

The same applies to gains and losses on shares and equity interests in venture companies under the law on fostering venture businesses. However, the detailed scope is set by the Enforcement Decree, and income from other sources such as interest and dividends is taxed, so check the prospectus and the National Tax Service's guidance for how each type of fund is taxed.
