How are a fund's profits distributed?

The asset manager must distribute profits from managing the fund to investors in cash or in newly issued collective investment securities.

However, funds specified by law may retain profits within the fund in accordance with their collective investment rules. Distribution methods differ from fund to fund, so check the prospectus and the rules.
