Does the trust company (trustee) of a private fund also monitor management?

Yes. For private funds sold to general investors, the trust company must monitor whether the asset manager's management instructions comply with laws and regulations, the collective investment rules and the key product description.
It must also carry out an asset reconciliation every quarter to check that the fund assets it holds and administers match the records of the asset manager (or fund administrator).
