Under the Income Tax Act, the withholding rate on ordinary interest and dividend income is 14%, with local income tax added separately.
A rate of 25% applies to income from non-business lending and to dividend income of investing partners in joint businesses, and 45% to income whose real-name holder has not been verified. Rates may vary by type of income and product, so check the National Tax Service's guidance.
