What is the right to terminate an unlawful contract?

Under Article 47 of the Financial Consumer Protection Act, if a seller violated key sales rules (such as suitability, appropriateness or the duty to explain), the consumer may request termination in writing within one year of learning of the violation and within five years of the contract date.

The seller must reply within 10 days, and no termination fees may be charged.
