What is EPS (earnings per share)?

Bu sayfanın Türkçe sürümü hazırlanıyor. O zamana kadar içerik İngilizce gösterilir.

EPS is a company's net income divided by the number of shares issued, showing how much profit was earned per share over a year.

A high EPS is interpreted to mean that business performance is good and there is ample capacity to pay dividends, and it is the basis for calculating the PER. If the number of shares increases through conversion of convertible bonds into shares or a capital increase, EPS falls.
