KOSDAQ Venture Funds

Do KOSDAQ venture funds also get priority allocation in KOSPI IPOs?

No. Under Korea Financial Investment Association regulations, the separate allocation for venture company investment trusts applies to IPOs for listing on the KOSDAQ market and to public offerings of new shares by KOSDAQ-listed companies.

KOSPI market IPOs have no such separate allocation, so KOSDAQ venture funds participate in book-building and receive shares within the general institutional investor allocation.
