Article 16 of the Restriction of Special Taxation Act lists contributions to venture investment associations and the like, investments in beneficiary certificates of venture company investment trusts, and investments in start-up and venture private collective investment vehicles as separate items eligible for the income deduction.
A venture investment association is formed by venture investment companies and others under the Act on the Promotion of Venture Investment, while a KOSDAQ venture fund is an investment trust managed by a collective investment business entity under the FSCMA, so their legal forms and managers differ. Detailed rules, such as the grounds for recovering the deduction, are also set differently for each type, so check the underlying law for each product.
