Private Funds & Qualified Investors

Who is a qualified investor?

De Nederlandse versie van deze pagina is in voorbereiding. Tot die tijd staat de tekst in het Engels.

A qualified investor is an investor who may invest in a general private fund. Under the FSCMA, qualified investors are (1) professional investors as defined by law and (2) individuals, corporations and others that invest at least the minimum investment amount set by law.

A general private fund may issue collective investment securities only to qualified investors, and the distributor must verify whether an investor is a qualified investor.
