Private Funds & Qualified Investors

Can I transfer my private fund interest to someone else?

Investors in a general private fund may not transfer their collective investment securities to anyone who is not a qualified investor.

This is because private funds are products designed so that only investors specified by law can invest. Transfers of interests in institutional-only private funds are also subject to separate restrictions, such as the consent of the partners.
