What should I check before investing in a KOSDAQ venture fund?

First, check whether the fund is public or private and whether it is designed to meet the requirements for the income deduction and the separate IPO allocation.

Then look at its main investment targets and strategy, such as unlisted venture companies and mezzanine securities, its maturity and redemption restrictions, its fee structure including any performance fees, and whether the asset manager and distributor are regulated financial institutions. If you plan to claim the income deduction, also consider the 3-year holding requirement and your own cash needs.
