What is the right to request access to records?

In order to seek remedies such as dispute mediation or litigation, financial consumers can request access (including copies and listening to recordings) to records related to the conclusion and performance of contracts that the financial company records and keeps.

If you submit an access request stating the purpose, scope and method of access, the financial company must allow access within 6 business days. If there is a justifiable reason, such as restrictions under laws and regulations or significant infringement of trade secrets, the company may postpone or limit access after giving the reasons.
